Annual Easter Weenie Roast is Coming!

The annual Easter Weenie Roast at Aunt Mame’s house is coming up on April 4, 2015!

As with last year, the roast will be held at the Holt Family Homestead on Holt Farm Lane in South Jordan. The address is right off 1300 W and 10300 South. Here is a Google Map link:

The roast will start at noon.

All families should bring their own drinks, hot dogs and buns, and any condiments you would like. Water and wood (to roast) will be provided. Families should bring a blanket, or chairs, or ever a small outdoor table to stake out their site at the gathering.

This is a BYODHDAB (bring your own drinks, hot dogs, and buns). However, if families want to share off the main table, they should bring one of the following:

  • a dish of some kind for the main table
    • such as jello salad, green salad, potato salad, or
  • a dessert of some kind
    • such as cake, cookies, brownies, etc. (careful with ice cream)
  • large bag of chips, or
  • anything that you think would be a nice contribution to the picnic

Holt Family Fall Birthday Party

  • Bring hot dogs and goodies
  • Bring salad or dessert to share
  • Bring blanket or chairs to sit on
  • Fire pit will be ready and rarin’ by 6 pm

Fun at the Farmstead – July 11

FunattheFarmstead[1]As part of the Sights and Sounds of Summer, South Jordan will be hosting Fun at the Farmstead on July 11th. There will be entertainment by Hired Guns and dinner for purchase ($6) at 7:00 pm. All at our Homestead! (10317 S 1300 W). There will also be family photos and a Summer Movie (Monsters University) at 9:30 pm.

Dinner for purchase:

  • BBQ chicken mix of Legs/Thighs/Breasts
  • Baked Beans
  • Sourdough Roll
  • Green Beans
  • Apple Crisp or Cake
  • Ice Cream
  • Root Beer or Lemonade

We will have the semi-annual Weenie Roast at Aunt Mame’s house on April 19, 2014. The address is on the newly named Holt Farm Lane in South Jordan. The address is right off 1300 W and 10300 South. Here is a Google Map link to the parking lot across from the farmstead:

The roast will start at noon.

All families should bring their own drinks, hot dogs and buns, probably relish too. Water and wood (to roast) will be provided. They should bring a blanket, or chairs, maybe small outdoor tables to stake out their site at the gathering.

It’s a picnic. If families want to share off the main table, they should bring one of the following:

  • a dish of some kind for the main table
    • such as jello salad, green salad, potato salad, or
  • a dessert of some kind
    • i.e., cake, cookies, brownies, etc. (careful with ice cream)
  • large bag of chips, or
  • anything that you think would be a nice eatible contribution that others would go for on a Saturday afternoon.
